North Central Academy is thrilled to announce that Junior, McKenzie Ziegler has successfully completed the final exam for the Elder Care Certificate program as part of the High School Health Care Preceptor Pilot, a grant-funded program by the OH Dept. of Education to expand careers in healthcare. McKenzie earned 4 industry recognized credential points and is due to graduate from this program in May. This program included internship hours with Autumnwood Care Center, the Elder Care Certification, and completing a Medical Terminology course. We are so proud of you McKenzie!

Spring Break is almost here and the members of BeStrong have planned a day to celebrate! All students are invited to participate in the AM movie, Egg hunt with prizes and lunch activities!
Attention NCA Students and Parents/Guardians,
We are nearing the end of the school year and with that, we are quickly approaching the Spring Ohio State Tests. Please see the enclosed chart for the test schedule. Testing will start at 8:45am. We kindly ask that students arrive at school promptly on the days of testing and that non-emergency Doctor appointments be scheduled on the days we are doing make-up tests. If your student could also try to get some good sleep the night before tests and something to eat in the morning, that helps tremendously with their performance. We have some breakfast food at school if your student doesn't have time to eat. They can ask the secretary at the front desk:)
Sentinel Students
Sentinel will be informed of our testing schedule. Whether or not your student attends Sentinel in the morning or afternoon, your student will need to be at NCA in the morning no later than 8:30. Sentinel will excuse your student so they won’t be marked as absent or tardy. If your student attends Sentinel in the afternoon and drives, they can go to Sentinel when they are done testing. If your student is transported by SCAT to Sentinel and completes testing before the bus leaves, they may also attend Sentinel.
Grade Levels and Tests:
7th Grade students will test in English Language Arts (ELA) and Math
8th Grade students will test in English Language Arts (ELA), Science, and Math
High School Students can test within any of the following subjects depending on the classes they are in this current school year. Tests include ELA 2 (English 10), Algebra (9th grade), Geometry (10th grade), Biology (10th grade), American History (9th & 10th), and Government (10th,11th, or 12th grades). Students are encouraged to talk with the school counselor to find out what tests they are taking if they have questions.
Parents, please do not hesitate to call the school with questions about the schedule or which test(s) your student is taking.

ATTENTION NCA GRADUATING SENIORS & FAMILIES: As we prepare for Graduation Day 2023 please take the time to review the following graduation day details to ensure you and your student are prepared for a great day! The NCA Graduation will be held in the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center Conference Room on Friday, May 26, 2023; Due to limited space of our indoor facility, there is a LIMIT OF 6 GUESTS PER GRADUATE. On the morning of graduation, graduates are to arrive at 10:30 am for rehearsal and lunch (provided by NCA). Rehearsal and lunch will end at approximately 12:30 pm. Please ensure your graduate has transportation to and from rehearsal; That evening graduates should return to NCA at 6:00pm; The Class of 2023 class picture will be taken at 6:15 pm- graduates MUST wear their cap and gown in this photo; A photographer will be taking pictures of the graduation ceremony- Photos will be emailed to families and posted on both our website and social media pages; The graduation ceremony will also be recorded and shared on our website and social media pages; For safety and set up concerns- ALL students must RSVP if planning to attend the graduation ceremony no later than 5:00 pm on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 via email to Mrs. Brianne Fox at bfox@northcentralacademy.org. Calling all NCA Seniors! North Central Academy is excited to announce the Senior Picture Project! We will be offering two senior portrait packages through NCA for you senior picture needs. Package A ($30) includes: 1 hour session with 1 outfit. Package B ($50) includes: 2 hour session with 2 outfits. Both packages include a digital file of all photos and edits. To schedule your session please see Mrs. B. Fox. Upon scheduling your session we will discuss props, photo locations, appropriate outfit choices and hygiene. Sessions will be available March 20-May 5, 20223. Checks can be made to North Central Academy with Senior Picture in the Memo.
Attention NCA Parents/Guardians,
As part of our educational program here at North Central Academy, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a College Fair Event hosted by Heidelberg College. Students will be able to talk to a variety of colleges under one roof. On Wed. March 8th, from 1:00-1:45 all NCA Juniors and Seniors are invited to participate in this great event.
Students and NCA staff will depart from North Central Academy at 12:45 pm and return by 1:55. Students will be transported via a Tiffin City School Bus.
Please complete the permission form by Tuesday, March 7th, before the end of the school day. Permission slips the day of, will be accepted but not encouraged.
