In June of this year, North Central Academy Math and Science instructors worked together to submit a grant application for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) funding through the Battelle foundation. The project, called “Stem Is For You” was recently announced as one of the Ohio middle and high schools to receive $5000 toward STEM. This project aims to provide all students with opportunities to explore STEM topics through classroom activities, field trips, and technology exploration. New 3-D Printers and filament have been ordered and several field trips are being planned to give students an opportunity to experience STEM related activities that relate to their academic and life skills.
